Terms of service

These terms govern your use of emle.io, the emlē newsletter and any related services ("the service"), operated by Rock Valley Tech ("we", "us", "our"). By subscribing, paying or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these terms for it.

Not advice

Everything we publish is for general information only. It is not investment, financial, credit, legal, tax or accounting advice, not a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, lend against or otherwise deal in any security, loan or instrument, and not an offer of any kind. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer or credit rating agency. Our content is drawn from public filings and other sources we believe reliable, but it may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Verify anything material independently before relying on it. You are solely responsible for your decisions.

Paid plans and billing

• Paid plans renew automatically, monthly or annually, and are billed in advance through Stripe to the payment method you provide until you cancel. Prices exclude applicable taxes.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing link in our emails. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• All payments are final and non-refundable, including for partial periods, unused time and discontinued plans, except where the law requires otherwise.
• We may change prices; a change applies to your subscription from your next renewal after we notify you.
• Discounted rates are for the people they are offered to. We may end a discounted subscription that does not meet the stated eligibility.

Our content

We own the service and everything we publish. A subscription gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to read it for your own professional use, including quoting short excerpts with attribution to emlē. You may not republish, resell, redistribute, forward paid issues or share paid links outside your subscription, or use our content to train, build or improve any model, dataset or competing product.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no automated signups, scraping, bypassing access controls, interfering with the site, or submitting other people's information without their permission. We may suspend or end any subscription at any time, for any reason, including a breach of these terms, without refund.

Changes to the service

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time without liability to you.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rock Valley Tech and its owners, officers, employees and contractors will have no liability to you or anyone else for any loss or damage of any kind arising from or related to the service or its content, including any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or losses from investment, lending or other decisions, however caused and even if we were advised of the possibility. Where the law does not allow liability to be excluded entirely, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rock Valley Tech and its owners, officers, employees and contractors from any claim, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Norfolk, Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

General

These terms and our privacy policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may.

Changes and contact
